2003 sportster air intake tube options?

The air intake tube/hose on my newly acquired boat is collapsed. It's the tube that goes from air box to the rubber tube that is clamped to the throttle body. I'm not sure it is the factory hose but it looks like cheap thin a/c flex duct. It fit well but the material does not look like it belongs in a engine bay. My question is , is there a common or preferred repair for this or do I just replace it with another stock one? I see some jet boats with aftermarket intakes with a k&n type filter on them, I do notice where they draw air in is much lower than where the stock air inlet is which I guess could allow water in if a leak went unnoticed.
