I have a '03 GTX with only 51 hours on it. It started fine last weekend but after riding about 15 minutes the low voltage warning beeper sounded. Before we could make it back it died in the water (sucks pulling a sea doo with 50 hours on it). The battery was replaced this spring and holds a good charge when charged with my home charger. I live 2.5 hours to the nearest dealer - any suggestions of what I can check? Thanks for any suggestions.

charge

Check your charge into the battery with a multimeter should be 14 to 14.5 volts with ski running @3000 rpm.... battery could be shot even though fairly new... check your charging system first.

:agree: Start engine. Connect a multimeter to battery posts. Set multimeter
to Vdc scale. Bring engine to approximately 5500 RPM, will be a little more accurate.

If multimeter reads over 15 volts, regulator is defective.
Replace it.

Make sure you do all this while running on the hose to cool the enigine. Do not run it on the hose for more than a 5 minutes.
