I have a 2002 RX will not accelerate over 25mph will run steady at 25 but no faster and its not the kid user key any ideas on this problem?

Need more info....
1. does it beep and flash maint or 12V low?

12V low would be electrical (weak battery or charging system problem)

check that both injectors are spitting fuel.

Over Rev?

Does the engine over rev, like if it were a car, does it feel like the clutch slipping?

If this is the case its probably the wear ring.
