Hey gang. We have a new to us Sea-Doo. It has been running well. I took it into a long no wake channel. The channel had surface algae/granular type weeds, small sticks, & crap on surface. I got to end of no wake, alarm went off, limiter kicked in, and maintenence light turned on.

I turned it off, then started it up, no maintenance light. I opened it up, and sounded fine. I ran it back home about 3 miles, no issue, no maintenance light. However when I slowed to drive onto my lift, the alarm went back on, along with MAINT light.

Can you give me advice on what to check? 20220619_153346.jpg

Sounds like the intake for the cooling is blocked,,,in the jet pump.
Hi Popps. I've looked this up and can't find how to clear this? I. Sorry for the rookie question....

I looked under the ski, removed a few small sticks. But didn't see anything major blocking what I believe is the intake.

Hhmm…sounds like partially blocked cooling…pull the pump,,,check that your passages are clear,,,there are 3 orifices at the top of the pump,,,the one on the left is for your cooling system,,,sounds nuts,,,with the pump off,,,take an air gun and shoot some air into the drain line fitting which will be on the top right and is small,,,I am guessing maybe blockages in the internal cooling,,,just easy to eliminate from your diagnostic equation,,,then after,,,you put the pump back on,,,run water thru it for 1.5 minutes,,,too long and you will melt the carb ring bellow,,,,these are just easy non-electrical things to eliminate.
