Is there a certain type if coolant required??

Yes. You must run only XPS seadoo coolant formulated for seadoo 4 tec aluminum engines. It is orange in color. Running anything else like standard automotive coolant could have disastrous results, as I found out in February when my water pump thermostat failed, and my engine overheated in the middle of the river. The XPS coolant is more expensive, but made for the 4 tec.

You can use OEM Orange 1 coolant , it's the same.
