2001 XP oil light on

My 2001 XP oil light came on this past weekend, but the tank is half full.

Does anyone know how, or what I need to do to get it to go off, or fix rthe problem?

The oil level sender unit is warning you you oil is getting low. You could add oil and it will go off or replace the sender in the tank. You can't recalibrate the sender unit, only replace it.

Waht type oil should I add and where can I get it?

I recommend using seadoo oil. here is what is recommended by seadoo.

Use High quality low ASH API TC Injector oil.
Do Not use NMMA TC-W, TC-W2 or TC-W3 outboard motor oils or other ash less type 2 cycle oil. Avoid mixing different brands of API TC oil as resulting chemical reaction will cause severe engine damage. Never mix Mineral or synthetics oil together.
