Just finished putting pump back together. I shipped out my stator and had it bored out and a stainless steel liner inserted. $400.00. Installed a new Solas impeller $350.00, had stator rebuilt from Impros $150.00, replaced stator seal $40.00, replaced stator bearings $38.00, replaced shift cable and steering cable boots. $70.00, paint $12.00.
Can't wait to get it in the water, I will let you know how it goes. I also had a problem with my throttle/shifter being very sticky, thinking it was my shift cable(forward/reverse) because the cable boot had a hole in it I removed the cable but the thottle/shifter was still sticky so I removed the shifter and tore it apart to find the existing grease to be like glue. I cleaned it up and regreased everything, put it back together and its as smooth as cutting through butter now. I also have raised my driver seat as I found it to low

2001 Utopia Raised driver seat

I did this last spring and it was a fair bit of work but man is it nice. I am in the process of putting the seats back in as I take them out for the winter to keep them from getting mouldy. I will take some pictures when I but the seats back in and post them this will be the best way to explain what I did. I believe I raised it about 12 inches but by doing so it then hit the throttle and the steering wheel so I had to reverse the driver and passenger seats and also install a slide to allow me to move the seat forward and backward that I got from the auto wreckers out of a older van. I may also have to install a slide on the passenger side as the seat rubs a bit (because they are reversed) when you turn it, but it can be done without. Now having said all this I think that the different utopia models had different seats. Mine has the two bench seats that when closed make a solid seat accross the boat. Hope you understand what I am talking about but like I said earlier I will try to post some pitures and that should help.
