I had to hold the steering wheel at about 45 degrees CCW to go straight. Before the trip I check the alignment by eyes and it is centered with the steering wheel. And no slack detected when it is on the trailer.
Checked the steering mechanism, looks ok.

What could be wrong? I guess the last thing is to change the cable?

If the nozzle is pointing straight, under load the boat is going to veer to the right because of the torque and spinning impeller. To correct it, just adjust the eyelet where it connects to the steering nozzle so it is when the steering wheel is straight the nozzle is pointing a little to the left. Just keep adjusting it until you are satisfied.

That makes sense to me. But is 45 degree on the steering wheel normal?

Is this a new issue or has it been like this? If new, it could be a defective steering cable issue.

I don't remember the first trip was like this. But for sure The last 3 trips were like this. I have been out only 4 times.

Many times the housing separates or a mounting bracket fails and the power of the nozzle is strong enough to get the outer housing to separate and then not steer right.

Someone could hold the steering wheel and you can push the nozzle left and then right. It should only move a small amount.

But again, is this a new issue or always been there?

I will clamp the nozzle and do the test.

The first trip (6 weeks ago) was ok I think. Then last 3 trips I am sure it was like this

If it wasn't like this before than it is likely the cable or a cable mount. Pretty common on boats.
