bought this boat last fall. guy just had drive shaft and flange replaced work fine last year.greased shaft this year did some tub pulling about three times, shaft spin at flange again.is there something they missed ? if anyone has shaft and a flange I can buy

There should be two rubber bumper inserts, one on either end of the drive shaft. If one is missing, the splines might not be fully engaged thus will slip and wear prematurely.

A 2nd possibility is engine alignment may be off too much, confirm using the engine alignment fixture.

3rd thing to consider are the engine mounts. If one is broken lose the engine will tilt due to torque and the driveline will operate at an angle, wearing the splines.

Let us know what you discover.

Yep.

.......

Just to clarify, the bumpers keep the shaft splines centered front to back for full engagement, these bumpers are inserted into the holes drilled in shaft ends. One or both, might be missing.

If one of them or both are missing is it possible to move the shaft back and forth?

Yes. But generally the carbon seal will push it back into the pump. AND... since the boot is stiff, it's hard to push it toward the engine while assembled.

I see. So only the rubber bumper at the pump side is being pushed
