2001 Sea Doo Utopia - Battery Questions

2001 Sea Doo Utopia Merc Optima M200

Ok, can't believe I did this but I removed the old battery from my boat and I can't figure out where the green wire in the picture goes. I'm assuming it's on the negative terminal but I just want to be sure. Any help?

Also, what are the battery spec on the type of battery I should be installing. Is 800 cranks enough?

Ok, I found out that the green wire should be connected to the negative battery terminal. It's some sort of ground wire that's connected to the fuel line.

I'd put the biggest meanest most powerful nonmaintenance battery that will fit in the battery box!!!,,,it is the lifeblood of any boat,,,wjich are very sensitive to declining voltages,

I'm not a merc mechanic,,,read the threads,,,I know that the engine grounds can be a nusance,,,that not charging fully also can be a problem,,,so check that,,,and also the hand shake connector at the regulator can be an issue,,,find the yellow wires,,,see if they have melted unsulation?,,if you have that,,i cut the couplers off and out in straight butt connectors with heat shrink,,,I also make sure the 3 yellow wires have space between them for air cooling,,,also,,the stator on those i believe also fires the coil hi low ,i ,,had one once,,,changed the reg,,he came back,,,did full stator test,,,not charging on all 3 windings,,,replaced the stator,,which includes the ( hi/lo pack),,,ran super amazing,,as if it was injected!,,,and pulling the fly wheel on those is do easy,,
