Edit: OK, nevermind. I thought this used the same waterchannel cover as the DI. Not sure what's different or why this plastic piece is $52.

I wouldnt worry about the cooler. You'll have that thing blown up long before it can get too hot, lol.

Oh I meant to give you a tip on assembly of the twins. Clean the shit out of the flanges where the 3 orings go. Install the new orings (factory pipe recommended new orings every time the pipes are disassembled) spray windex on the flanges of the two header pipes and the will snap together fairly easily. They have to go straight in not at an angle or you may move one of the orings off its seat and end up with an exhaust leak.

I powered my egt on the circuit that powers the tach and fuel gauge

Well I put the motor in the ski tonight. I will work on alignment tomorrow. I pulled the pump off tonight. Thoughts? One of the bolts that holds the nozzle on ended up pulling the Helicoil out the scat pump. Have you guys ever seen this?

Also to add to the questions. Im guessing the carbs need to go on then the pipe?

They sell repair Helicoils that are for fixing stripped ones like that, they are a little bigger. You could also call Glen at Skat-Trak.

Ok got the right Helicoil tonight. Its an M8 by 1.25. Pulled apart the scat pump everything looks to be good. Just going to do an oil change. Is it okay to run this type of oil just like in any other Seadoo pump? I also got the motor aligned, just need to tighten down the bolts. I picked up a Brand new Ultrasonic Cleaner ,so the carbs will go in that tomorrow. I really look to finish the ski up this weekend as far motor work goes. I about forgot, I just got me a new cover as well.


I'm getting closer on the graphics with Mike from PwC graphics as well.

What's an M8 by 1.25.

For example a thread pitch of 1.5 means that the distance between one thread and the next is 1.5mm. (think this is right) 8 being diameter?
