2001 GTX RFI Water Control Valve

Hello.. I have read several threads in more than one form discussing the "adjustment" of the water flow regulator on the water box. Most of these very wisely point to the default "regulator valve is adjusted at the factory and should not be adjusted". However, I have a recently purchased ski from a previous owner that I have come to completely mistrust and want to make sure it is set properly. Anyone that can fill me in with certainty about the "proper factory setting" on this valve?

Well... in the 2001 manual, it doesn't give an adjustment... but on the older regulators... you turn the knob in the entire way... and turn it out, 3 full revolutions.
