There is a filter in the gas lines already right after the tank, it had a little gunk in it but wasn't bad. I was able to replace a few of the tempo lines but looking at them they actually looked brand new...I know they still need to be replaced but I'm not doing it until I have someone watching over/helping me in the tight spots. That's what worries me the most with all the other lines and cables and what not running now through there. I will learn as I go!! This is my first ski so I will be asking plenty of dumb questions lmao. Will post more pics in the am of the inside of the hull. Thanks for all the help guys, you are all much more relaxed and much more help than ppl on the truck forum I'm on as well lol

So I checked out that osd website looking at some stuff, but it doesn't give me the option for a 2000 rx, only a rx di. So I guess my question is will 01 parts work on mine? Or is mine even really a 2000? Just don't wanna order anything unless i know it all matches

Just make sure that the parts are for a carbed rx and you will be fine. Anything that you can't find email osd and he will get back to you

he's a good dude at OSD. I have bought face to face from him a few times. He even gave me parts to take when his credit card system would not work. I sent him a check the next day.

I have found that if you type in the part number you are looking for on the OSD website it works better than searching parts under your make and model. If it exists they seem to have it or an aftermarket solution.

So when you guys say fuel selector, are you meaning the fuel selector knob? Or is there something different? The knob is all im seeing when i look it up

Okay thank you. I'm finally about to get it in the water for the first time, and I'm having trouble with the starter. Where is this dang thing?? It's just needs a little tapping and I think it will all be good

The starter is under the carbs and not easy to see or get at. Make sure you don't have bad connections as my starter relay bolts were loose and once tightened up, it starts perfectly. If in fact you have starter issues replace it before riding or getting towed back in (iF it stalls) will be frustrating.

Most definitely it's not in the water yet. And yes not easy at all to get at I see. It's just spinning. Cranked up fine last time I tried to fire it up. Like I said I hope all it needs is a little tapping and hopefully good to go

Follow the wire from the solenoid. One goes to the batter and the other to the starter.

Ok. If the starter spins and does not engage, then it can be few things.

Low voltage (but not the likeliest answer).
Bad Bendix
Rust ring on the starter shaft not allowing the Bendix to engage.

You will need to pull the starter and see which issue you have. Some systems have the Bendix in the engine, others on the starter. I do not know which you have.

Thanks a lot joe. You've been a lot of help so far. I'm leaving to go on vacation this week and dropping it off with a friend of mine to look over the whole thing. I'm really questions this "professional" whom rebuilt this thing before I bought it. So my buddy is going to check it all over for me, basically completely tear it apart

The bendix on 951's is a separate part from the starter. They are known to break teeth and short out stator.

Thanks for all the help guys. I dropped it off to my guy yesterday day and he said he sounds like it is the bendix. He should have it fixed and good to go by the time I get back from vacation
