I bought a 2000 seadoo rx that has a carbed motor and its a reed case engine not a rotary engine. I would like to know if I could still do the OIL PUMP BLOCK OFF KIT! I have tried to find info on doing it to a 951 motor but cant find any, Can this be done? If so where do I leave the oil line to lube the crank? Theres one nipple on the lower block right by the exhaust and thats water right? Then theres 2 nipples under the carbs ones for the rave valve aand other one going in to the carbs right?

951 block off

If your engine is a 951 carb engine, then yes it is OK to block off the oil injection. THE OIL INJECTION CANNOT BE BLOCKED OFF ON A 951 DIRECT INJECTION ENGINE!!!!
There are two nipples on the left hand side of the engine towards the rear. One is for the RAVE valves and the other is the pulse for the fuel pump that is on the front carb. On the right hand side of the engine, down low on the cylinders, is a engine water drain port. There is no oil line that needs to be left hooked up in order to lube the crank. That is only true with engines that have a rotary valve.
Good Luck, DAWG

Where does the water line on the bottom of the motor go to? And I can leave the pump just take out the shaft and drain the oil so theres none in the tank? Thanks for your help!

RX

Yes, you can remove the pump shaft and then reinstall the pump. Drain oil tank and leave hoses installed. The engine water drain hose goes to a port at the right rear of the ski (on the inside) so it can drain outside by the right side of the pump when looking from the rear.

Oil light

Yea, you could add oil to the tank. It will need to be about 1/3 full in order to keep the light off. Or you could leave the tank empty and put a jumper wire in the harness connector going to the oil tank level sensor.

I am having a little bit of trouble, I have this line that goes to the front of the hull and ends just in front of the battery, I took a not so good pic but can kinda see it, the end is hidden behind the choke cable! ANYONE KNOW WHERE THIS GOES?!

battery vent...

I'll guess it's the battery vent. You should have a vent line on the battery, fuel tank and oil tank....

yeah its a battery vent line.. on my 00 rx i have the same.. it goes up to the front, i think it has an inline anti siphon and then out the port side.. even if you didnt use it, you should remove the red cap on the vent of your battery
