2000 SEA-DOO GS won't start

Hey just bought a 2000 SEA-DOO GS and when i got it everything worked great.

But then the battery started going flat. So i took it out and charged it, and when i was putting it back in i reversed the battery connection. i.e. Positiv->Negative/Negative->Positive, and it took me about 30 seconds to realise it.

And now when i connect the lanyard there is no beep and there is now sign of life, so i tried to connect negative->negative and positive directly to the starter, then the starter worked but it would'nt start.

So im guessing something electical, but i just wanted to hear if someone had done the same

Come on people, anybody have any idea of what the problem could be.

Start with the obvious, and check all the fuses, and electrical connections for any signs of melting, but I have a bad feeling that you may have cooked the MPEM. Sorry .
