Hey just bought a 2000 SEA-DOO GS and when i got it everything worked great.

But then the battery started going flat. So i took it out and charged it, and when i was putting it back in i reversed the battery connection. i.e. Positiv->Negative/Negative->Positive, and it took me about 30 seconds to realise it.

And now when i connect the lanyard there is no beep and there is now sign of life, so i tried to connect negative->negative and positive directly to the starter, then the starter worked but it would'nt start.

So im guessing something electical, but i just wanted to hear if someone had done the same
(stupid)mistake? :(
:agree:

And maybe has some idea of what i need to fix it :)

Thanks

Start with the obvious, and check all the fuses, and electrical connections for any signs of melting, but I have a bad feeling that you may have cooked the MPEM. Sorry .:(
