I have a 2000 GTX and need to get a new hood due to someone crashing into it. Everything is damaged from the locking mechanism to the hinge. Its a red ski so getting the same color would be great but beggars cant be choosers. I live in utah and dont know where to look guys but need one because it is flopping around and have bungies holdubg it down. I have started with Ebay but see alot of 1999's and not sure if they would fit but after looking them they have their owwn problems too. Any suggestions on where to get one that wont break the bank on a 14 year old ski that runs good.

Well, Nick Minnetonka4me would be a good source, however I don't know about the shipping.

You can PM him when I put the @ sign in front of his name it sends an email that he has been mentioned and he should see this thread. His brother 99spxxx also might have the part but he's in Texas so freight would be more.

99spxxx do you have this and whats included? Hood, hinge, lock, mirrors, etc. Also what would be shipping to Layton Utah 84041 please?

Minnetonka4me I may have found a hood but its off of a 99 GTX that is in good shape for $50. Will the 99 work on my 2000?

the 2000 adds some stupid thin plastic 'flailings' (not sure how to spell it), to the sides.. that the 99 didn't have.

if you aren't picky, yes they all bolt up.

Thanks SabrToothSqrl I think i know what you are talking about, those are the black skirts right? Is there a way to take those off of one and out them on the other? Do you know how they are fastened to it?

Yes, the black skirts. I don't know, I've never had to do that, but I think they are just small plastic screws maybe? rivets?
