my 2000 gti starts ok out of water but only starts on full throttle in water and dies if left to tickover...is this a carb adjustment ???

Well I'm not sure what "left to tickover" means. The seadoo shouldn't ever start at full throttle. It has a safety switch that prevents that from happening. It should only start at idle position, in netural.

gti tickover

by tickover i mean 'idle'. the only way this machine will start in water is if i open the throttle completely. if left to idle the rpm drops till it stalls so have to keep finger very slightly on lever.many thanks,Gary

we post poned the get together because you couldn't get a towable tank... Let me know when you get one and we'll reschedule

Yes, adjust the Idle screw. Do not adjust the Low Speed screw for the idle, by mistake.

Thanks 4 the feed back, have done the carb adjustments,(then put min oil in with synth,(doh),drained it all out, refilled with mineral)at this rate i'll be lucky to tow myself along ! Got this plan to get to the party....thought i'd sit on my doo at the end of one of the runways at heathrow airport with a kind of long rod with a hook on and wait for a miami bound plane to pass overhead.....i'll either be there.........or u can visit me in hospital...
oh,one other thing...the return pipe from the case to the top of the oil tank...does it need to be filled with oil before re-connection ????:stupid:
