Hello,

I am a new owner of a 2000 Challenger 2000; and wondered if anyone could help identify the following component?

IMG_2656.JPG

It seems be upside down in the photo for some reason; but it resides directly under the ECU mounted on the engine. I do not see a part number anywhere (unless it is on the back and not visible unless removed).

If anyone knows and could tell me, I would appreciate it.

Thanks!

It is the box containing the circuitry of the water detecting/separating filter alarm.

If you need to remove the ECM, there is no need to remove that. Unplug it and remove it all.

Great, thanks! I have done a bit of reading, seems pretty straightforward in operation...now the real question is why would it have been unplugged at some point in the past. I am going to guess someone got annoyed hearing an alarm, and that was their "fix" - ugh. I hate that kind of stuff.

I plan on replacing all filters soon, I'll hook it back up and see what happens the next time I take it out.

Thanks again!
