I have a 2002 XP with 951 engine. I know we need synthetic API-TC low ash oil but what are your opinions on alternatives instead of the $120.00 3 gallon BRP oil. I do not run premix and I know not to mix brands.

This site lists some alternatives http://seadoosportboats.com/topic/846-2-cycle-rotax-oil-brand-list/
What do you think is the most cost effective brand?

Current online price of Seadoo xps syn. oil at amazon and ebay is:
129.99 + 20 shipping for 3 gallons.

On a completely different side note:
I have a repair manual but it doesnt list specific o-ring numbers. Are they all the same size or something? If not where do I get list of the part numbers

You will get varying opinions on the oil. Most of us here though agree that as long as it is low ash API TC rated, you are fine. I use Quicksilver Full synthetic PWC. It runs 40 bucks a gallon at wal mart. Other have reported the Mystik JT4 works good. It can be found for 19.99 a gallon and sometimes cheaper if you are lucky enough to have a store that carries it. I cant find it around me though. For the XPS, try JMCamper.com They are a very large volume Sea Doo dealership and usually have the lowest price even after shipping.

run "mineral" oil, if you know how to clean the RAVES, then you'll be fine. It'll build up carbon faster on them verses run'n synthetic.
