2 Questions Dess coded key / Top Speed

Hello my boating friends!!

!. Looking to get a another Dess coded key for the boat (1999 Sportster) Just to have..
The Dealer wants me to bring the boat in for him to do this .. Is that the norm...

2, I had my boat out this weekend and just for kicks I wanted to see what I could to for speed .. I was by myself.. top speed 47mph . Does that sound right for a sportster for speed....

yes and yes. they need to boat to program the key to the mpem. mid 40's to 50 seems to be what most people claim the sportster 1800 does.

There are a coupe of people here at the site that can do keys as well. They won't need the boat but they will need the MPEM in order to do so.
