Hello
I just bought a 1999 Speedster. We knew the ski pole was stuck, but when the guy doing the service looked at it he realized it was bent and part of it was cut off. Where can I get a replacement pole? Or what can I do, right now there is just a hole there.

I will check the service manual when I get time and see if it shows a part number. Might be the best way to search for one.

Its tough to find parts like that. A lot of the online parts places use the same system for parts, it looks like they have it, until you actually goto order it and it will say not available. Best place is to find someone parting a boat out. Another member here made a new one and was talking about making more, maybe contact him and see if he can still do it.

I had this same problem. The factory weld on the flange is very weak. I had a shop rebuild mine for like 20 bucks. Completely sandblasted, new weld and new clear coat. Its better than it ever was.

If you need to buy a new part, I cant imagine the pipe stock being that expensive to begin with. Its an easy part for a shop to fab up.

Same thing happened to me. I had a machine shop make me another one out of stainless, however it has heavier and would not stay up like the original one.
I finally gave in and bought a Monster tower MTe......love it!!

We found one, but it doesn't stay up well either. Unless we don't have it in correctly. It "clicks" but will fall down at any slight pressure.
