I am new to the PWC community so it will take awhile before Im proficient. I had to replacer the starter but before that replaced the solenoid. I have a wire about 1 foot long that has round crimp connectors on each end and dont know where to put it. It would turn over before I replaced the starter and now no beep. I have read that the front electrical box has a ground that if missing will cause the no beep scenario. Battery is fully charged and no beep. Does anyone know where this "ground" is suppose to go? Please be specific since I am new and dont know the jargon yet. In fact, a picture is worth a thousand words!!

You shouldn't just have a loose ground that I can recall.

The beepers go bad quite often.

IF you could post some pictures of your engine compartment and the cable you found.

As soon as I get home Ill post pictures. However, there is nothing when I press the start button. Again, someone posted about a ground wire to MPEM or the rear ebox (Does your GTX have a small ground wire that hooks up to the battery along with main engine negative power cable? If not, take a look and make sure there isn't one laying in there not hooked up. Usually connects in the rear E-box with with coil/starter solenoid, etc. Thats where the MPEM gets its main ground on many models.) Ill check the fuse box when I get home.

That little ground wire on the rear electrical box that everyone suggests is typically on the 1996 skis, not your 1999

Good to know!! However this wire went somewhere lol. Im going to take power directly to the starter to see if that works. If it doers I will have to find out what I omitted when installing the solenoid but to be honest I jut put the new one on like the old one.

what color is the wire? Could it be a ground from the bottom of the ignition coil in your e-box? I think there are 3 or 4 black wires with ring connectors on the coil.

Thanks for all the replies. I was checking fuses and pulled the connector for the 25a in the solenoid area. When I put it back, the seadoo turned over. I will keep you posted but don't think that was a ground.
