1999 GSX Fuel Injection Oil Block Off

Hey Everyone,

I'm looking at buying a 99 GSX 787 fuel injected Seadoo but the guy says it just quit on the water. He told mehe had blocked off the oil injected and ran mix gas. My question, can you even block off the oil injection on a fuel injected seadoo? When he tries now to start it just ticks like the battery is dead.

No, you should never premix an injected seadoo as it is bad for the fuel injectors.

Second, most people do it wrong and remove the tank and don't supply oil to the rotary gear causing it to seize. This would cause the gear and crankshaft to seize up and could cause his "click like the battery is dead".

Ok thank you. So it’s something I should not get involved with as it needs a complete rebuild.

I wouldn't buy a non running ski unless you assume it is junk or pay over $500 even in perfect condition.

Converting a RFI to premix is a bad idea and probably why it won't run.
