Just some info i want to share with Jet Boat owners. My Sportster kept cutting out after running for a few minutes. I had Intermittent problems with the DESS cap. Sometimes it would beep, sometimes nothing. Dealer told me to replace Cap and post. Before i did this, my nephew told me to fully charge the battery. Not had a problem since. Installed a $10 solar panel to keep the charge up. Hope this helps any pne with a similar problem

Yes... a weak battery will cause issues. BUT... the intermittent buzzer is probably because it's dead. You should probably replace it, since it's also your "Over temp" warning... and they are known to give out.

Also... the lanyard posts don't live forever either. So, your dealers recommendation was probably correct.

Were did you get the solar panel?.. I'm tired of hooking the trickle charger up all the time worrying about it raining or etc.....my boat seems to have a constant trickle eating juice...takes about month without cranking to kill battery...I hate to wait that long turning it over though...
