Guess what happens when you reverse the water hoses on the exhaust water injection valve, first thing no water gets into the exhaust chamber, it heats up, starts melting the hose that crosses over it, it starts melting the first resonator inlet port, the built up exhaust oil in the exhaust chamber starts to burn, the whole chamber goes from a nice grey to golden brown. The engine overheats and starts to shut down. Scary, no fire but lots of smoke, I emptied two fire extinguishers.

I do not believe the engine has any problems , compression is good, RPM is good on the stand. The problem is, now I have exhaust and water blowing past the first resonator. The cross over exhaust hose is deformed but not broken (Part #31), the resonator inlet is melted ( Part #30), but the hose (part #22)seems to be intact.

These parts do not seem to be available on Rivamotorsports site. Are there any suggestions on how to fix, find , or substitute these parts?

Post a parts diagram and the ##s you need. Some parts cross over to jetski stuff, and my brother has parted a few of those boats.

melted baffle

I can probably get by with out the hoses, but I need the baffle. Parts 30, 31, and 22 are the part numbers on the diagram.

If your careful, you can eliminate the "Eagles Wings" and just run one of your existing rubber hoses direct from the water box to the thru hull exhaust elbow. No lay out of cash. I tried this on the PORT engine, I would assume you could do the same on the Starboard. All they do is quiet down the exhaust, you probably won't notice a difference, and it will be no louder than any 2 stroke ski before they came out the the D-SEA-BEL.

Pay close attention to the water control valve, I'll bet if the water box got that hot you started to melt the plastic by the fitting.

Thats an excellent idea. Yea the valve base litterly melted off, and the valve was laying in the bottom of the boat. I had another one and replace it.

Check all those little black lines to make sure they are not collapsed where it routes up to the main pipe. You have to check every last line to make sure they flow.

The boat has two baffles per engine, I can still hook it into one baffle, or none, I have to work out the hose length and location. The hose that semi melted was the one that connected the two baffles together.
