this started last summer and I took it too my seadoo guy and he realized that my nose cone broke off and let the oil out of my crankcase so I got that fixed and almost immediatly after i got it back on the water my mpem blew due to water being in my solinoid box so I finally have it running this year and it still revs up and down once you get over 25 mph. when slower it runs fine. it really jerks when your at top speed. this is a nightmare and I could really use some help with this. Thanks

Is it possible that the rpm's don't go above 3500 RPM's? It sounds like the rev limiter is not allowing your pwc go above that speed. The rev limiter would act like a serging effect. Let us know, and I see what the cure is to repair it.

Im not sure how to check the rpms but i don't think there is anyway that i could be going over 40 mph with the revs only gettings to 3500rpm

uh... I thought you said you only got to 25mph...I think that model has a tech. What rpm range does it do it?

Karl

oh sorry about that it starts reving up and down quickly after i get over 25 mph and there is no rpm gauge on the gti

I wasn't sure if it had a tech or not ...Let me check the manual and see what I can figure out.

Carb filter??

It could be the internal carb filter being clogged enough to allow the ski to move but when you get on it, the lack of fuel flow starves the engine.

Just a thought.

well I half pulled the carb apart and cleaned the clear plastic peice which i believe was the diaphram and also found a a small filter and cleaned that to but i still have the problem is it possible i have low fuel pressure due to the diaphram not pumping enough fuel?

If the diaphragm is torn or has a pin hole in it than it could be the problem. Hold it up to the light. After the carb is cleaned see if it works. I have had good luck just cleaning the carbs and not having to replace the diaphragms.

ok i'll try to pull the carb apart i just hope i don't screw something up because i don't usually do things like this
