1998 GSX Limited that only runs on starting fluid

I have a 1998 GSX Limited that only runs on starting fluid. I disconnected the intake fuel line and ran another into a bottle of gas. The carbs are drinking the gas but will not run on gasoline only starting fluid. The return line is pumping fuel back into the tank. Any suggestions should be helpful.

Be careful with the starter fluid. You could cook your engine since there is no oil with it. There are guys on here that will say to never use it... but it's OK to give the engine a quick sniff to get it to fire after sitting all winter. Honestly, the better solution is to just spray in a little pre-mix fuel into the carbs.

Anyway... you need to rebuild the carbs. The fuel pump on the Super BN is almost a separate unit. It will pump, and return the fuel... but your carb may never spray fuel into the engine.
