Hey everyone,

New to the forum and just have had the boat for one season. I purchased the boat last year and was told that the carbs were just rebuilt and the seals and everything were replaced also. I have had some issues with the left engine cutting out when just moving the stick out of idle and between 1000-2000 RPM. If I push through that range quickly it catches just fine and runs well at WOT. Both engines will stall out at some points at idle. I have replaced the plugs so far. I ran it about 5 times last year and just dealt with the problem. I have time now to tear it apart and work on it but this is my first time owning a Seadoo or dealing with these engines. I was thinking there may be something in the carburator that isn't set correctly. I have the shop manual and was just going to reset the screws to factory and make sure everything looks kosher with the carburators. Anyone else have any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Check the fuel filters (inline and carbs just to make sure). If you have dual carbs make sure they are synced, If you have accelerator pumps adjust and make sure they work. They give that little boost of gas to keep you from dying ouy when you start moving the stick/sticks from idle. Make sure all the needles and idle speed are correct.

As above... check the interenal filters... but what you are describing is either:

1) The bypass ports, on the pilot circuit are clogged.

2) The high speed check valve is leaking. (on the back side of the jet block)

3) The pop-off pressure is a little on the high side.

4) the accelerator pump isn't working.

If you understand regulator carbs... it's not a big deal to clean them, and check everything. Just an FYI... all seadoo's will run perfect on the factory specs. So... if you build them "To the book"... they should work.
