Question for all you experts,
I had one of our mechanics at our marina take out my jet boat for a test drive. He went a little further than planned approximately 10 miles and got weeds stuck in the jet. He ran the boat back to the marina at low rpms for that same distance. Once back he cleaned out weeds and said that there was no damage to the boat. My question could there be any damage to the engine running at that low rpms for 10 miles without any effects?
Please advise...

Weeds? You'd think they would have passed through. You'll need to inspect the impeller/shaft/wear ring for any damage.

Weeds won't cause any damage directly. As long as he didn't over heat the engine due to lack of cooling to the engine. It would have been beeping to indicate a over heat problem with a solid beeeepppp. Clean out the jet pump and run it.
