Hi, I have a 1997 Seadoo Challanger boat. Last season my boat would generally start no problem. I recently installed a new wear ring and prop this summer, and went to take it out to the river to try it out. Now mind you the boat hasn't been started in about a year, and as of current it will not start. It will not beep twice when i plug in the tether. It has no blown fuses, no corrosion on the cables, absolutely no corrosion in the junction box by the motor. I've checked the neutral safety switch, and everywhere i could think for a bad connection and came up with nothing. With the tether installed, it has no power from the computer to the solenoid to activate it. When i tried to do the diagnostic, and pushed the start button five times, it did the short and long beep, and then nothing after, which i read means the computer is fine? Anyone have any helpful tips for common issues i can try out? thanks.

since you get your beeps after 5 presses.... that's telling me your MPEM is OK. It sounds to me like your lanyard post has gone bad. There is a small magnetic switch in it... and they dont' last forever.
