Over the past year I've had the problem of my Sea Doo dying when I tried to give it more throttle, getting worse until it would stall out and not start right away. Yesterday I put the fuel selector switch to reserve, which seemed to completely solve the problem and now it will run fine at WOT. Note that I always had at least one-half tank of fuel when the problem was occuring so I don't think the reserve selection was necessary for low fuel. I noticed some posts about the gray fuel lines being bad which is what I have. Do I need to replace them ? Where should I get the replacement lines ? I had also replaced the fuel pick-up/sending unit prior to the problem but was careful to mark the lines and install the same unless the replacement is somehow different.
Thanks,
James

Replacement fuel line can be had from any automotive parts store - usually sold by the foot. I am in the middle of changing mine with 1/4" black hose from NAPA for about $30 for a 25ft roll.

You'll also need a TON of stainless steel #04 hose clamps - I bought 30 (10 to a box - NAPA part# 505-1204.

Your fuel selector problem may be due to a clogged valve. While you change out your hoses, blow out the selector valve in all positions and make sure it is clear in the On and Res positions. Compressed air here helps a lot.

Grey hose deteriorates....:

You can see what you are up against in my fuel hose/carb thread:
