Figured that would be why they have the standard clamps....too bad they didnt replace the lines!

Would the 1/4 lines work all the way around or should i purchase some 5/16 lines as well?

Stock, you will actually have more line in your ski that is 5/16 (8mm) as opposed to 1/4 (6mm). If you purchased all 1/4 you would be restricting the flow of fuel to the carbs compared to what you had stock. Remember, all lines flowing to the carbs are 8mm and the one flowing back is 6mm. Maybe using all 1/4 would have no effect, but why test the theory out? The cost of the fuel line should be the same whether you get 5/16 or 1/4.

My opinion is stick to the stock sizes.

Definitely, only trying to plan out how much of each size i should need...i will figure that i need to purchase more of 5/16 than 1/4

When I did my '98 GSXL, I used about 6-8 ft. of 1/4 and somewhere in the range of 15-18 ft. of 5/16. We have different skis, but you should have comparable numbers.

When you do it...change the longer runs of line first. This will help you make the most efficient use of the line you bought.

I just replaced all the lines in my 97 GS with 1/4". I thought I read on one post that would be ok. I took it out after replacing and it seemed to run fine. Should I take out the 1/4" and replace it or do you think I am ok? Has anyone else used all 1/4" on theirs? If so did you see any issues?

I replied in your thread regarding this, but I will do so here as well.

Your 97 GS comes stock with just 6mm line so you are ok with all 1/4". Your ski is not like smokeymance's, where his has 2 different sizes.

Thanks for all the help. I should be going after this sometime next week...ill try to take some pics while doing it.
