1997 Challenger 787 Winterization

Hi All,
I am pleased to be a member of this forum, lots of good ideas and advice. I'm slightly confused about how to winterize this boat. This is my 4th Seadoo craft, and the other 3 I winterized by running pink antifreeze in the lower flush port while the engine was running. The service manual makes no mention of this method, but suggests pinch clamps and hoses to flow the antifreeze. I kinda like the flush method myself, any thoughts?

How can I winterize my 2 stroke with out power? Still looking for an MPEM to turn it on. Yet freezing temps have arrived so must winterize it with no power. Bucket of antifreeze - pump it through hose port? Then what?

I’ve never done it as per the manual, always flushed it with the engine running. Winterizing instructions are in the manual and the engine does not need to be running if you follow those directions. In this case because you can’t flush it, use ethyl glycol antifreeze instead of the pink biodegradable one, it will protect better when mixed with the remaining water in the engine

Nope, too much risk of getting it into the engine.
If you can't run the engine then blow compressed air through all the hoses to blow as much water out as possible.

I winterized my 96 Challenger per the owners manual without running the engine. I did this for 15 years in a p!ace where the temperature went as low as -30C (-22F) and I never had an issue. Also did my 92 XP the same way for 5 years. So I can confirm if you follow the manual it will work and no harm with come to your engine. It tells you exactly how much fluid to pour into the engine.
