I was riding my waverunner and it was working perfectly. I turned it off, and turned it back on a few minutes later, as soon as i started moving i pressed the throttle and the engine started to "bog". It wouldnt bog at idle and i would be able to press the throttle slightly and it would move, but as soon as i moved it any farther it would "bog" again. Almost as if the choke was on. It is hard to explain.
I took it home and cleaned the carburetor, and noticed the needle seat sticking.. im not sure if this has anything to do with it. Or a diaphram leaking. After i cleaned the carb i took it for a ride again and it seemed fine but as soon as i tried opening the throttle it "bogged out" again. Top speed is just above idle (5 miles an hour) It only does this when it is in the water. If i start it out of the water, it runs perfectly fine.. sounds fine.. revs fine. Of course i dont leave it on, i just test it. But it seems odd that it would only work out of the water.
Can anyone diagnose this problem for me? i dont know where else to look.
thankyou very much
