1996 sportster issues

So rebuilt engine over winter had fullbore do the top end, had the boat out for the break in for 10 hours no issues, now take the boat out and as soon as it planes out it dies or surges as if it's not getting fuel. I can run it at 7k below the step fine but once I plane out it dies any sugestions

1) Take the carbs apart... and clean them.

2) Check for a seal leak around the fuel select valve, and filter bowl. (if you have the clear, type filter)

Regardless... DO NOT keep running the engine that way !!! a lean run will kill it.

In process of carb rebuild now just order the mikuni kits as that is what I assume work the best.
