1996 Seadoo xp Issue, Please Help!

Well im not the best when it comes to these things. I let a very much over weighted man take the the xp for a ride. He flipped it in the first minute he was on it. Tried to get back on for 30 minutes and filled up the whole thing with water. We got it to shore took out the plugs and shot out the water out of the cylinders, put the plugs back in and still wouldnt start. All its doing is making a clicking noise when you press the start button. Coming from the electricle box, I read some other forums and kinda heard the same thing. Hope its a easy fix, what should i do first. Take the box apart? From what i read its sounds like a cylinoid issue maybe. I feel sick to my stomach cause it has ran so good the last few years until this happend. Please help, and suggestions. Thanks guys.
