I have a history of bad cranking with my gtx. Opening it up for the season when it will not crank over (unless plugs are out). When I attempt to crank it, the instrument gage dies as you hear the starter attempt to engage. I replaced the starter with a sbt starter last year when having similar problems. Not sure what else to consider. I have jumped the solenoid with the same results and sounds. Any help is appreciated!

hard to see with glare but instrument gage looses power with cranking. i am using a fully charged battery. in process of replacing all the ground and 2 power lines. Any other ideas?

sounds like bad battery, check the voltage while trying to crank. the gauges go out and the clock will reset because the voltage gets very low. how old is your battery? just because it reads 12.5 volts when sitting doesn't mean it's good.

If your battery posts look grey instead of silver in can cause a bad connetion and not deliver the amps needed to power the starter. Use a wire brush to clean up the posts and the battery wire connections and try again. I have the same ski as you (2) and had this happen with both of my ski's with brand new battery's fully charged. hth's

Any Luck?

Just wondering if you have had any luck with this issue? I am having the same issue. Have already replaced rectifier, relay, starter, and battery.

Thanks
