1996 GTX Starter REMOVAL???

Sometimes it can be stubbern to get it out. Give it a slight tap with a wood mallet or a fubber mallet. Be careful not to slam it real hard. You could give it a spray of PB Blaster or even wd-40, if you don't have anything else. Try to give it a wiggle too. let me know how you make out.

Three (3) Bolts
I have just replaced my starter on my 96 GTX, there is a third allen bolt on the bracket at the back of the starter going into the engine case.

There are 3 bolts holding a factory starter. two at the front and one into the side of the block under the exhaust.
