ok so took the ski out again rectifier fixed the sputter problem , now while driving at above 6K rpm for long period of time the ski will just shut off ,i look down the temp light comes on then goes out it starts back up the temp light goes out and if you stay under 5K rpm for 5 or 10 minutes its fine ,not sure if i should check all the wire connections on the ski or just replace the temp sensor ,,i also noticed the fuel light come on and the fuel gauge didnt have any bars on it,like it was not on then after a little while of driving the gauge started showing the fuel level bars ,even though they were wrong ,only showing half a tank when i know it was almost full,,,,,, i rfuse to give up on this darn thing its a lot of fun when its running lol

Check all the connections and wires. Negative battery connection to engine too. Protect connections with Dielectric Tune Up Grease. Do not put in female connection ends. Swab on the male ends with a nail or wire. I would think a bad temp sensor is not going to shut off the engine. Should be able to place your hand on engine if it is near the correct temp. Consider back flushing the engine. Remember, ENGINE running, then WATER on, WATER off, then ENGINE off. Do not run long since you have a carbon seal in drive train. Use the correct connection setup. So you get good flow and pressure.

You bought this Ski this season? Keep in mind some people sell stuff for a reason. Service places, if they will even work on, it can be very expensive. They tend to just replace stuff till it's fixed. I diagnosis, then replace what is broke.
