Hi everyone, great forum here.

So we picked up a speedster that supposed to run great, but doesn't. We were able to test compression while the lanyard key worked on a couple intervals. Now nothing. Unplugged the connector to the post. Checked continuity between the black wire and the black/yellow. At first it was jumping around from 350 to 700 ohms. The best I seen was 200 for an instant. Now it's infinity. The key feels hokey, like loose on it. Thinking the reed switch inside is changing state by the magnet.... Any help is appreciated. I was a Yamaha Waverunner guy for a few years, so please bare with my ignorance on these machines.

At first it was intermittent, that's when we were able to get the 2 beeps and check compression. Now no, it will not ever beep. It seems the reed switch inside the post never closes now and we have high resistance on the black/black yellow wires to the post..... We tried to close it with an good magnet, nothing that way either..... Hope the programmed key is good, and it's just the post :)
