After a long long break on working on the ski, I finally (almost finished it) the engine is in with wsm pistons and crank, i powder coated all the engine pieces and exhaust parts. For the exterior I have nos handlebar grips, nos throttle housing and thumb throttle, new start stop housing with a nos purple bye button on the way, I finally Regelcoated the bottom yellow half and I’m not gonna post any pictures of it because it’s not the greates but it’s sanded and polished completely flat in 98% of the bottom because around the edges of the rub rail where the sander can’t get it is a little rough but it’s hidden under the rub rail so it’s not a big deal at all it just bugs me a little. Only thing left is to install the air box and pump but I’m waiting for some shims to come in to allign the engine better. And then install the pump with the new wear ring. So to sum it all up the exterior was my focus for the resto to keep it 100 percent oem just like it came out the factory door, and the engine bay I kept all the paint colors original and everything is oemish besides obviously not using oem internals and I used osd grey fuel line and osd yellow water lines so I can see water flow more easily so I can verify waters going where it should. And I used clear braided lines for the oil lines cause I’m not a fan of the yellow oil lines. Now all I need is a nos front badge, the “bombardier” one. Picture below.
