seadoo GTS 1993

New Member
New to the forum and I have a question. I just bought a 1995 seadoo spi, it has been sitting in the guys garage for 3 years. When i got it to the lake, it bogged down at full throttle, then after about an hour it bogged at any throttle. Im gonna drain the old gas and put in new gas, anything I should do or check for? Thanks

Change the fuel lines, (if they are gray).

Clean the fuel baffle filter at the bottom of the baffle.

Clean the trap filter, and screens.

Clean the fuel select valves.

Clean the little fuel filters in the carb(s).

Put fresh spark plugs in it, with correct gap.

Fresh fuel.

Add some oil to the fuel, and then while idling on the trailer, in the water, REMOVE the seat, and manually turn the OILER all the way up, and see that she starts smokin real good. If she does, you are good to go.

The oil pump is down below the carbs, and you have to reach in there to get to it.

Make sure you add the correct oil to the 2 stroke oil tank.

Only use ski to test to see if you fixed problem. If engine does not seem to run perfect you may blow the engine if you use it in the condition it is in. Never use a ski that seem to have a fuel issue. Do not learn the hard way.

Ok thanks, I will do all those things, and it has the clear fuel line in it. Also i saw a black line that started in the front and ends at the battery, and not connected to anything. Could that be issue? I couldnt find where it should hook up to though. Thanks for the advice

If you've ripped thru fuel system/carbs, and still problem, disconnect the red wire from rectifier, then fire'ur back up...

It should have clear OIL LINES. And, the VENT LINE for the battery, could be clear too. (Or black) Mine has a hose from the battery vent, to the side of the doo.

But, fuel lines? Clear? Are you sure?

The fuel lines come out of the TOP of the fuel baffle, which is on top of the gas tank. Are you SURE that these lines are CLEAR?

If they are, somebody has replaced them.

Go and be sure. 2 stroke motors really do depend on a good clean fuel supply, with no interruptions. Good clean fuel, always to the motor, and you have solved 1/2 of the battle!
