hello all!!! im new here but have used the site in the past month to help me troubleshoot my xp... AWSOME SITE AND MEMBERS!!! anywho.... picked up a 94xp w/ 657x for free that didn't run. got it from a guy that i know who said nothing happened to make it not run and that he just didn't use it anymore. well, brought it home, rebuilt the carbs, replaced the starter (which was bad), all fuel lines and filter and the plugs. it cranks great but im getting ZERO fuel at the carbs or even filter!!!! im new to pwc's but am a auto mechanic by trade. any help would be greatly appreciated. does this thing have a fuel pump? what is a pulse line and where do i find it? if anyone has any ideas please post. thanks alot in advance and i sure am glad there's a site out here like this!!!!

may have the fuel lines crossed up at the carb. The pulse line goes to the fitting off the engine case, the fuel line from the inline filter goest to the bottom of the carb fitting and top one is the return line(right to the tank).
What all did you replace in the carb/s, with the rebuild?

A couple of things to check....

1) Connect the filter directly to the reserve line by passing the fuel selector switch.. I have seen them go bad too..

2) There is a screen on the bottom of the fuel baffel, I just bought a 95 that had not be used for 8 years.. The screen at the bottom of the baffel was not allowing sufficent fuel flow.. I cut it out and the ski runs great.. Yours may be clogged with crap from the bottom of the tank if it sat for a long time.

3) Be sure the tank is venting, try running it with cap open..

4) Check all you connections for correct placement..

i've replaced every fuel and vent line on the thing along with the carb rebuild which was gaskets, seals, and a GOOD cleaning. the jets and needles are in good shape so they stayed. thanks for the replies guys!! im gonna hopefully give that a shot this weekend. is there any need to prime the lines somehow? if so, how would i go about? i've seen other threads that talk about in order to get fuel after changing lines you have to pour a cap full of gas in the carbs to get the engine running for about 10-15 sec which is how long it takes to get the pulse line to start getting fuel to the carbs on its own. is that true or is there other processes i should go through instead? thanks alot for your help!!!
