Almost ready to hit the water then was reading about the drive shaft needing grease on both ends but not to use too much grease as the seal may blow?

So how do you tell if you have added enough grease?

Reading tells me that it is not like most seals where you just keep pumping until the grease comes out.

Thanks

On the pto side grease until the boots just barely start pushing back...Dont overfill or you may end up with a mess...as far as the other side if you mean where it splines to the jet pump just give it a little you fill with to much and you can wear you spines...make sure the driveshaft bumpers are in there aswell

So maybe leave as is to prevent anything bad from happening?
I don't know if it even needs any grease but thought maybe I should add some.
Thanks

Sorry new to sea doo's , so just add a bit of grease to the 1 grease fitting that is closest to the motor and not worry about the other fitting? My drive shaft has 2 fittings.

Im assuming you have a carrier setup on that year ski? Give that a pump or two.

Repeat every season

Hi guys just found a online manual (yes I should have a manual) and yes it says to carefully add grease to PTO until the boot fills up then stop and add grease to the carrier till grease comes out then stop.

You don’t want to add too much grease on the carrier end. Just a pump or two is plenty. If you overdo it, you can blow the seal out and cause a leak.

Ok so just until the boot fills on the PTO side and a small amount on the carrier side ,cool.
And manual says to use synthetic grease which I don't have so I guess I should get or is there really any harm using plain grease?

Just use a good marine grease and you’ll be fine. To be honest I just leave the marine grease in my gun and use it as an all purpose grease for other things around the garage too.
