1993 Seadoo XP question about flushing

I am new to jet ski's. I now own a 1993 Seadoo XP that has had some work done to it. It has a WPS head. The head has one in and 3 outs for the water flow. A water hose connection is already installed to flush the motor after it comes out of salt water. It is installed on the outside that plugs into the head. Is this OK?
If so, how long do I need to flush the unit for?

It is installed on the outside that plugs into the head? You should flush for no more than 5 miutes...than the impeller, bearings and seals get hot from not being in the water for cooling purposes.

i like to spray some lubricant on the wear ring before running that long as there is no cooling or lubrication out of the water..

A shot or two of wd 40 does well...
