Hi, Just purchased a 1993 Bombardier xp 650 off a friend whos had it sat in his Garage forever and a day. I have tried to charge the battery with no luck so i am going to purchase a new one tomorrow but havnt a clue what battery i need to get as i dont know if the one that came with it is the right one or not and dont know if i need to get a specific brand or if once i know the voltage and AH i can choose any that fit in with the right specs as at the moment i am trying to keep the costs down until i know it is actually running (wich he assures me it was when it was put in the garage), . Any help anybody could give me in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance David

I would just go ahead and get the good battery. Last summer I bought one at Advance Auto for about $90. They come fully charged out of the box, they are sealed and you don't have to mess putting the fluid in. I tried to kill that thing could not. Best battery I've ever had.

Anywhere you go Wal-Mart, or whatever, will have a battery listed for PWC. The only real difference is the size. Just make sure it fits in there real good.

Wal Mart?

Careful at Walmart. Take good measure on your ski battery. I tried to get one there last year. They have them listed but the ones they had, did not fit the little indention of my ski. So, I took it back and got one from Advanced Auto parts. I only paid $70 bucks for mine.

Point, be sure to measure the small tray in your model. Don't go in blind because one size does not fit all........
