Alright its been awhile since i have posted on here for anyone who remembers. I have been so busy that I havent touched my ski since November! Anyway I bought this ski last year and it hasnt run in 3 yrs. The previous owner ran in it in the gulf and im also guessing some pretty shallow water then put it on the trailer and it hasnt been touched since. I just recently after taken everything else off the engine and cleaning all the salt deposit out. I opened up the carbs and sand poured out of it. I have never really messed with carbs before and I know all this sand isnt suppose to be in there LOL! I was wondering if i just gave them a good cleaning and soaking will the carbs be able to function correctly or am i looking at having to buy a rebuiild kit? I didnt spend much on this ski and trying not to put too much money in it. Its a project of mine actually. So any suggestions would be nice. All i need to do now is get these carbs functional and throw in a new starter and i think she will crank!

Thanks
Dave

I would say a rebuild kit but none exist as far as I know for the round body carbs. Swapping over to the new pumper style carb might not be a bad idea but you'll need the entire intake tract.

I have been able to locate the rebuild kits for them from SBT in clearwater florida. Also the local dealer says he has them in stock as well. But SBT is cheaper.
