12' GTI SE130 Cluster reads READING KEY for about 45 seconds

The cluster reads READING KEY scrolls across the display for about 45 seconds before you get both beeps,does not matter what key you use.Looking for help.

Make sure the lanyard is very square to the DESS. If on an angle it takes longer to read.

Press start button first BEFORE you put the key on. Let the gauges come to life, then put the key on. Should get 2 beeps pretty much right away. Not sure why BRP changed this order on the newer skis, does nothing but confuse people.
