06 speedster wake questions

hello,

i purchased a 2006 speedster 200 wake on the weekend and since i am new to owning a jet boat i have a few questions.

i can not seem to get power to the stereo system at all. i have read a couple of other posts that say that 200's have a audio switch near the steering wheel. i went through these one by one and seems as i do not have one. is there a different way to operate for the wake rather then the standard 200?

Once i acquired the boat i realized that the microphone for the pa system is missing. i have been through every compartment and i can not find it anywhere and since i brought it from a dealer they don't know when it is either. does anyone know the part number for the microphone? i have looked through the specs and i can not seem to find it. Also the forums i have been reading say that the large tower speakers are only for the pa system. is this right? seems like a bit of a waste to have two large speakers that would hardly be used.

i traded in my rxp for this boat so i have small amount of knowledge of how to maintain the engines and such is there anything i need to know that i may need to pay attention to that i would not of needed to with my ski?

i hope that someone out there can help me with these answers, it would be greatly appreciated. i'm only new to this forum but look forward to the great education i will gain from everyone's knowledge.

Congrats, nice boat!
First and foremost, if it's a supercharged version, ensure the supercharger has been rebuilt with new steel washers. I believe yours may have originally had ceramic washers and they require replacing as they have a tendency to breakup and go into the engine sooner or later. Otherwise the engines are very good and simple!
As for the stereo, is it stock? If so do yourself a favor, take it all off and replace it with a decent system. Honestly, you'll love it then. The stock equipment is usually the weakest link in these boats.
Apart from these consider hydroturfing inside and you have a weapon of a boat!

thanks guys, yes the superchargers have just been done and the washers replaced i was not going to get on the water until it was done, not worth the risk. i am currently looking into getting the hydroturf but the hardest part is which colour to get. as you probably already know the speedster wake is a white with black and red. thinking maybe the black marble. what are your thoughts?

I'd love to see 'snow camo' or 'black/red' if really game! I could see the black marble working too. Where in oz are you??

i could see the black/red work but i think the snow camo would be a bit much.. im in SA what about yourself? have u updated u sound system? i spoke to a guy at autobarn today and he said i may not need to use a marine head unit because i have the plastic c
over over the unit. thoughts?

check out the fusion head unit. You can pop your ipod or iphone in it & play the lists from it. Be careful of a car unit. Your boat is a wet boat design. The system will get wet. The cover will only reduce the amount of moisture getting to it. Not to mention when you hose it down after each outing. I'm from Brisbane myself.
