05 Seadoo RXT= NO Acceleration

My 05 rxt red lines and it struggles to hook up and get going. Once it hits 25 mph or so, the power and acceleration is there. It sounds like the pump is drowning. It feels like burning out in a car and all of a sudden it hooks up and I'm flying above 60 mph. What is going on here.

Your wear ring is most likely to blame! Is it possible that you sucked up a rock?

I purchased this ski used, so it is possible that a rock was sucked up.
I'm not sure how to fix that.

Sounds like wear ring. Easy fix. Impeller could be chipped or bent as well but you'll be able to see that when you take the jet pump off. Buy a wear ring and impeller removal tool and get started, you'll have fun with this. If you really wanna do this repost and we'll tell what to do. :cheers:
